ECW-Episcopal Church Women -
Young Adults Group -
Young Adult Ministries of the St.Johns promotes the need for and development of ministries to young adults on a local, district, regional and national level by networking, and resourcing with young adults and their families of all types and ages.
We try to respond to questions like these:
- Are there people around who share my values?
- The bars are good, but is there anything else?
- How do you meet good people once you've moved here?
- What does it mean to be a person of faith today?
- Is there any decent worship around?
- Where can I give some of my time or talent?
There are young adults coming together to have a good time and just be social. There are people coming together to celebrate life or to talk with one another and reflect on what really counts. There are young adults involved in programs of service to the more needy in our society. Young Adult Ministry has a very simple purpose - to put adults in contact with each other and to offer some alternatives to what is experienced in our culture.
At St.John's we try to be:
- Real - In a day when superficiality is the norm, we will be authentic and genuine.
- Relevant- We will provide resources that contribute to personal and spiritual growth in everyday life.
- Relational- Through authentic love and unconditional acceptance we will help people develop deep relationships.
- Revolutionary - We will do whatever it takes to reach people with the gospel, no matter how revolutionary we must be.
Together we can make a difference! Let us know how we can help you.
Sunday School –
Sunday school is the generic name for many different types of religious education pursued on Sundays by various denominations.Sunday School is taught for children over 3 years of age. Child Care is provided for infants and toddlers. Today many different expressions of Sunday schools exist. They range from traditional methods of teaching, using small groups, Bible-based teaching, familiar songs etc. to the more contemporary. Sunday school is often part of a larger Christian Formation program in many churches.
